George Bailey had big dreams that were swallowed up by his small town and its people. One Christmas Eve, under the weight of responsibility he never wanted, he decides to end his life. As he’s about to jump from a bridge, an angel falls to his rescue.
This timeless tale of family, community, values, devotion, and love has brought audiences to consider just how far their touch might reach for nearly 80 years.
As a live radio play, staged in a 1940s radio station, this play fills audiences with nostalgia and delights them with a small cast using multiple voices, 1940s style musical radio advertisements, and live, practical sound effects.
It’s a Wonderful Life: a Live Radio Play will run on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm from December 11 through December 21, with a 2:00 pm matinee on December 21.
