Broadway Under the Stars: “The Impossible Dream”
Broadway Under the Stars returns for a second year to showcase Broadway hits! It is a concert-style evening where individuals/small groups perform selections of their choice. This year’s theme is “The Impossible Dream.” Is there a song you have always wanted to perform, or a role you’ve always wanted to play, but it seems impossible for one reason or another? Maybe it’s a role you would never be cast in due to age, gender, etc. Maybe it’s a song from a musical that doesn’t have rights available, or that could never be done in our community. Find two dream songs and bring them to auditions - your chance to perform it might not be “impossible” after all!
Auditions are open for adults 18 and older and will be held on August 20th from 6:30-9:00pm. The show will open and close with group numbers from the entire ensemble and the other numbers will be solos/small group songs.

For auditions, please select TWO pieces you are prepared to perform. Find and bring recorded accompaniment for those pieces. Prepare a 60 second/32 bar segment of each song with your backing track. A sound system will be provided. Directors will select from the audition pieces and create a concert. If selected, you might be asked to edit/change your song if it makes a better concert.
You can sign up for an audition time HERE. Also, please print and fill out this AUDITION FORM, complete with any conflicts, and bring it with you to your audition. If you are unable to print the form ahead of time, we will have some available at auditions to fill out there.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
There are no absences allowed for tech rehearsals or performances. Because there are so few rehearsals, conflicts for the other three rehearsals could impact your ability to be part of this show. This show depends on individuals who prepare outside of rehearsal. You will determine blocking for your song and come ready to perform it. You will be responsible for memorizing group numbers.

Backing Track Suggestions
There are a lot of options for finding a quality backing track for your piece. Karaoke through ITunes, and other websites, can be good options. Broadway Studio Orchestra (https://broadwaystudioorchestra.com/home) has full orchestral backing tracks for many shows. https://www.karaoke-version.com/ also has options for harder-to find songs.

These camps tend to fill up very quickly (sometimes within minutes of registration opening). A non-refundable registration deposit will need to be paid at the time of registration. You will receive an invoice for the remaining tuition amount, which will be due before each camp begins. The total tuition cost for each camp is $200 for the first child in a family, and $185 for each additional child in the same camp.
Please register each child for only one camp on registration day. Subsequent registrations will be deleted. If more spots remain after 1 week, we will allow children to register for a second camp in their age group if they desire.

In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Directors Workshop Series
We are so excited to offer this Directors Workshop Series for anyone age 16 and up, taught by Kristen Hughes!
Come join us on January 15 and 16 from 7-9pm at TVT as Kristen teaches the essentials of directing a show at TVT, everything from a director’s vision, to casting, blocking, tech, and production.

The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

ArtSmarts Mary Poppins, Jr
Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Cameron Mackintosh and Disney's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
